DESCRIPTION:In-person training to identify persons with thoughts of suicide and connect them to suicide first aid resources.\n\n\nJoin Amal Unite & Empower in Collaboration with CMHANL for a free safeTALK training preparing anyone over the age of 15 to identify persons with thoughts of suicide and connect them to suicide first aid resources. \nsafeTalk participants will learn to: \n\nNotice and respond to situations where suicide thoughts may be present.\nRecognize invitations for help that are often overlooked.\nApply the TALK steps : Tell\, Ask\, Listen\, KeepSafe.\nConnect someone with thoughts of suicide to appropriate community resources for further suicide-safer help.\nNotes:\nPlease Arrive 15 minutes before the training starts.\nParking: Since there are many events in the building\, please arrive early to secure a parking spot.\nFull attendance is required for the entire training to receieve a certificate.\nIf the plan changes\, please let us know via email in advance so another person has the opportunity to join.\nYou can email us at newcomeremployment@amalnl.caor contact us at +1(709)770-1708\n\n \n⚠️ Important Notice ⚠️\nKindly respect the time\, resources\, and impact of this training by only registering if you’re fully committed to attending the full session.
