Learning to support persons who may be experiencing a decline in their mental well-being or a mental health crisis.Mental Health First Aid Essentials is the support provided to a person who may be experiencing a decline in their mental well-being or a mental health crisis.Course participants will learn how to:1. Recognize signs that a person may be experiencing a decline in their mental well-being or a mental health crisis.Have conversations that encourage a person to:✔️ Talk about declines in their mental well-being.✔️ Discuss professional and other supports that could help with recovery to improved mental well-being.✔️ Reach out to these supports.3. Assist in a mental health or substance use crisis.4. Use MHFA actions to maintain one’s own mental well-being.Notes :Full attendance is required for the entire training (FULL DAY) to receieve a certificate.If the plan changes, please let us know via email in advance so another person has the opportunity to join.This is a virtual event and the link to join will be shared with the registrants through email.You can email us at newcomeremployment@amalnl.ca.
