Mental Health Trainings
CMHANL Collaboration
Through our collaboration with the Canadian Mental Health Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (CMHANL), Amal Unite & Empower is strengthening mental health awareness and support across workplaces and communities. Together, we’ve introduced a series of evidence-based trainings designed to empower participants with practical tools for crisis response, self-care, and resilience.
Over the past year, we’ve hosted multiple sessions—ranging from suicide prevention workshops and mental health first aid, to trainings on compassion fatigue, burnout prevention, and navigating sensitive workplace conversations. These sessions have equipped participants with the confidence to recognize signs of distress, respond effectively, and foster healthier, more supportive environments.
The response has been overwhelmingly positive. Participants have highlighted how valuable the trainings have been both personally and professionally. Industry partners alike have shared how these tools strengthen workplace culture and build a stronger sense of connection and care within teams.
Working alongside CMHANL, we’re proud to be contributing to a culture where mental health is prioritized, conversations are open, and support is always within reach. Building lasting capacity within organizations and communities, helping people feel prepared, supported, and resilient in the face of challenges
