About Amal Unite & Empower
Amal Unite & Empower is Newfoundland and Labrador’s workforce bridge. We exist to strengthen the province by connecting newcomer talent with employers who need them — helping businesses grow, communities thrive, and newcomers build stable, meaningful lives here. Founded as a workforce and economic development initiative, AUE operates as employment infrastructure — not a charity, not a general settlement program. We prepare talent, engage employers, and support the conditions that make employment last.
What we Believe
Employment is the strongest foundation for belonging. Employers are essential partners in successful integration. Retention matters as much as hiring. Practical solutions create real economic impact. Strong workplaces build strong communities.
What We Do
AUE supports two sides of the workforce equation: For newcomers — we provide structured employment preparation, career coaching, and employer introductions that build real labour market readiness. For employers — we provide access to pre-screened talent, onboarding support, and workforce integration guidance through our Industry partnerships, RISE initiative, and Bloom wellbeing programming. Together, these efforts address labour shortages, support regional growth, and contribute to the long-term prosperity of Newfoundland and Labrador.
