Daycare Programs
How to Register for Daycare?
To register for daycare in Newfoundland and Labrador, you must create an account on MyGovNL and apply through the Child Care Services Program portal.
1. Create an account on MyGovNL.
2. Complete the Early Learning Gateway Profile and submit an online application for daycare services.
3. Submit necessary documents, such as proof of income (for subsidy eligibility) and child information.
4. Choose a daycare facility (subsidized or private) and wait for confirmation.
Subsidized Daycare
● The Child Care Subsidy Program helps low- to moderate-income families cover daycare costs.
● Fees vary depending on income, with full or partial subsidies available.
● Apply through MyGovNL or contact the Department of Education – Early Learning and Child Development Division.
Private Daycare
● Privately operated, setting their fees and policies.
● Fees can range from $30 to $50 per day, depending on the facility and services offered.
● Parents must contact the daycare directly for registration and payment details.

Becoming an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) in Newfoundland & Labrador
If you are interested in becoming an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) in Newfoundland and Labrador, visit and follow the steps:
1. Complete an Approved ECE Program
● Enroll in a recognized Early Childhood Education diploma or degree program at an accredited institution.
2. Apply for ECE Certification
● After completing your program, apply for certification through the Association of Early Childhood Educators Newfoundland and Labrador (AECENL).

3. Submit Required Documents
● Proof of completed education (transcripts, diploma, or degree).
● Proof of identity (ID or passport).
● Criminal Record Check & Vulnerable Sector Check.
● First Aid & CPR Certification (if required).
4. Apply for Jobs as an ECE
● Look for opportunities in daycare centers, preschools, early learning programs, and private childcare facilities.

Details: Preschool I operate from 8:15-5:45 Monday to Friday. The ratio for preschool children is one staff member per eight children, with a maximum group size of sixteen children. Preschool One is located on the first floor and is licensed to care for up to forty-eight children, ages 3-6 years. Preschool One offers full-time programs. Campus Childcare Inc. – Preschool II

Details: Preschool Two is located on the second floor and is licensed to care for up to forty-eight children, ages 3-6 years. This centre offers Monday/Wednesday/Friday full days or Tuesday/Thursday full-day options, as well as a full-time program.
