Food Banks and meal support
This section provides information on food banks, community kitchens, and meal programs across Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as resources for learning about nutrition, budgeting, and meal planning.
How to access food assistance
1. Find Your Nearest Food Bank – Visit https://members.stjohnsbot.ca/list/member/community-food-sharing-association-inc-262 for a complete list.
2. Call to Register – Some food banks require registration before your first visit. Have your MCP or ID ready.
3. Pick Up Your Food Hamper – Check pickup days and times, and bring reusable bags if you have.
Good to know: Food hampers are provided once a month. In case of an emergency, you get an emergency package only after 2 weeks.
