Getting Your Certifications Evaluated
If you’re a newcomer to Newfoundland and Labrador and need to have your international education recognized, World Education Services (WES) offers credential evaluations that support employment, further education, or immigration.
Process:
1. Create an account at www.wes.org/ca
2. Submit an application and select the evaluation type.
3. Send the required documents (original or certified copies) from your institution.
4. Pay the service fee and track the status online.
5. Receive an evaluation report accepted across Canada.
WES Gateway Program: For Displaced Individuals
The WES Gateway Program is designed for individuals who have been displaced and are unable to obtain official academic documents from their home countries. This program provides credential evaluations based on available documentation, facilitating access to education and employment opportunities in Canada.
Eligibility Criteria:
● Educated in Afghanistan, Eritrea, Iraq, Syria, Türkiye, Ukraine, or Venezuela.
● Currently residing in Canada or the U.S.
● Possess at least one piece of credible evidence of academic achievement (e.g., a copy of a diploma or transcript).
● Unable to obtain official documents directly from the educational institution
