Why we’re celebrating
A year ago, Bloom started with a simple idea: belonging isn’t something you arrive at; it’s something a community builds together, one small moment at a time. A conversation over coffee. A hike with new people. A word learned in someone else’s language. A year in, those moments have turned into real friendships, real confidence, and a community that keeps showing up for each other.
This event is our way of saying thank you to everyone who showed up to a first Bloom activity not knowing a single person, to the facilitators and volunteers who made it feel easy, and to the partners who believed in Bloom before it had a year of stories to point to.
And it’s just the beginning of what’s next. Stick around at our sign-up station for early access to the fall Bloom calendar. The next chapter starts in September.
🎟️ Bloom Bingo: Grab a bingo card at check-in, complete it by trying activities around the event, and submit it for a chance to win. Snap a photo and tag @amalyouthandfamilycentre for a bonus entry, totally optional, so no social media is required to play.
